In the app
- Open Formly and go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. The account and its data are removed immediately, and it cannot be undone.
Without the app
If you have uninstalled Formly or cannot sign in, email contact@formlyai.app from the address the account uses, with “Delete my account” as the subject. We action it within 30 days, and in practice within a few days. We may ask you to confirm from the account address, which is the only way we can tell it is yours.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in record, so the account no longer exists.
- Your profile, preferences and training reminders.
- Every form check and its written report, along with your history and progress.
- Your group memberships, and the checks and plans you published to a group. A group you created is handed to its longest-standing remaining member rather than being deleted, so the other members do not lose it.
Your clips are not stored on Formly servers. Small media passes through our server in memory. Large videos upload directly to temporary Google storage; we request deletion after analysis or cancellation, but interrupted uploads may remain there for up to 48 hours. The written result is stored with your account and is removed when you delete it.
What is kept, and why
- A one-way fingerprint of your email address, kept indefinitely. It is a salted hash — it cannot be reversed into your address, and it is not readable as contact information. It exists so the one free form check cannot be collected again and again by deleting an account and signing up afresh. The consequence is worth stating plainly: if you delete your account and later make a new one with the same address, the new account does not get another free check.
- Server logs (IP address, timestamps) for a short period, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Anything we are required to keep by law, such as a record of a payment.
Your subscription is separate
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription, because we never hold the billing relationship — Apple or Google does. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play subscription settings on your device before deleting, or it keeps renewing.
